Double Date at Corsino

2.13.10 Even though we celebrated our V-day dinner last night, we decided to get together with another couple for a double date. The venue was Corsino, an Italian restaurant in the West Village. Once we were seated, the waitress warned us that the portion was small. There was also a variety of choices. So, we asked for some suggestions. We all shared...
  • chicken liver crostini
  • brussels sprouts and pecorino
  • parmesan risotto croquette with wild arugula
  • Fried Potato
  • linguini with clams and oregano
  • orecchiette with rabe and sundried tomatoes
  • grilled lamb shoulder chop with ceci and radicchio
  • shrimp spiedini with cannellini beans and arugula
Assorted Crostinis
parmesan risotto croquette with wild arugula
Fried Potato Orecchiette with rabe and sundried tomatoes linguini with clams and oregano grilled lamb shoulder chop with ceci and radicchio shrimp spiedini with cannellini beans and arugula
Despite what the reviews said, I enjoyed the meal. It was a little crowded and the atmosphere was more casual than romantic, but still a very enjoyable meal. Indeed, the portions were small, but the price compensated for it. It serves as an opportunity to try several dishes rather than one appetizer and entree.
