Five Points

2.9.10 Five Points was noted our list because of Chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli. First of all, my boyfriend and I love her. Not only is she very smart, but also extremely entertaining to watch. Her comments crack me up! She came on Food Network's Best Thing I Ever Ate and said the Wood Oven Pizzette was her favorite pizza. Of course we had to make a trip to Five Points. We were excited to check out the potato pizza Chef Guarnaschelli raved about. And, we were assured once we saw several tables eating the same thing. We shared...
  • Wood Oven Pizzette-Thinly Sliced Yukon Gold Potatoes, Fontina Cheese & Truffle Oil
  • The Appetizer Special- Half a dozen Nantucket Bay Scallops with Pureed Potatoes
  • Char-grilled grass fed burger- vermont cheddar, apple wood smoked bacon, roasted red onions & french fries
  • Wood Oven Roasted Buttermilk Marinated Chicken- garlic mashed potatoes & pan roasted brussel sprouts
Just as expected, the potato pizzette was delicious. The garlic was a little overpowering but nonetheless delicious and nothing like I've ever tasted before. The crust was cooked perfectly and the garlic and olive oil on top was a perfect marriage. My buttermilk marinated chicken was so moist I devoured the dish. It was a bonus that it came with roasted brussel sprout, my favorite vegetable. Thank you Chef Guarnaschelli for a great recommendation!
