Brick Lane Curry House...spicylicious!
1.2.10
I absolutely love Indian food. Being Korean, I'm naturally drawn to spicy, curry dishes. Which is why I was excited to try out Brick Lane Curry House in an ice-cold, freezing winter. I'd seen the restaurant featured in Food Network a couple of times, but I wasn't brave enough to try their hottest, most talked about dish, Phaal.
Instead, we opted for...
- Lamb Samosas, crispy pastry stuffed with minced lamb
- Chicken Tikka Masala, a tomato cream sauce flavored with dried fenugreek leaves
- Shrimp Vindaloo, a fiery combination of freshly roasted and ground spices and condiments from goa, cooked with potatoes
- Garlic Naan
The exotic flavors and smell that pierces through your nose just makes you want to come back for more.
Beware, only the brave can handle the infamous Phaal. If you do decide to order the mouth watering, tear jerking dish, please help yourself with a mango lassi.
