Fondue Night at Trestle on Tenth
1.17.10
I've been reading a lot of food blogs and receiving daily specials on several restaurant coupon sites. When I came across Tasting Table NY's daily restaurant news on Trestle on Tenth for their fondue night special every Sunday's (until end of Feb), I jumped on the opportunity. I immediately called to make a reservation.
Not only did we get a nice table at the restaurant, but we were pleased to see everybody ordering fondue. Despite our main reason for going to the restaurant, we ordered other dishes to fulfill our hungry appetite.
We shared...
Fondue Special: swiss cheese fondue made with nutty Emmentaler, spicy Gruyere and creamy Vacherin cheese. Served with bread cubes, bundnerfleisch, speck, steamed potatoes, cornichons
He had...
Metzgete Special, braised pork belly, homemade bratwurst, liver, blood sausage, served with sauerkraut, mashed potato
I had...
Venison with braised red cabbage, knopfli and roasted oyster mushrooms
It's a great place to go for a nice date spot, but I've had better fondue. I'll give my honest opinion when I've tried Artisanal, the other fondue place in the city.
Anybody recommend other fondue places in the city?
