Alice's Tea Cup

11.15.09

This Sunday was a beautiful day to be out in New York City, especially in the middle of November. On weekends, we try to go to brunch places (just like the rest of the New Yorkers in Manhattan).

It wasn't a surprise when we stumbled upon Alice's Tea Cup on the Upper East Side. This cafe was well-known for their scones and THE bridal shower destination. The wait for the brunch venue was a little long, but we soaked in the beautiful weather by walking in Central Park.

Once we sat down, we breathed in the delicious aroma of assorted teas and the brunch menu.

He had...

Alice’s Florentine– poached eggs over sauteed spinach atop a buttermilk scone with a side of mixed-green

I had...

Croque Monsieur – open faced melted cheese and ham on a toasted bread

We shared...

A Pot of Tea

Afterward, we both agreed that Alice’s Tea Cup is worth the trip just for the scones and the Alice in Wonderland themed decor. Speaking of which, is anybody else excited to watch Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland?
