It's been awhile since I've posted anything on this blog, mainly cause we haven't been eating out. But, on my birthday, he planned a special dinner at Babbo.
As much as I anticipated this dinner, I went in with low expectations. I didn't know what to expect after years of attempting to make reservations.
At the restaurant, we decided to go with the pasta tasting menu where we could try a variety of pasta dishes at a reasonable price. Along with the pasta tasting menu, we celebrated my birthday with a wine pairing.
My oh my...the food was absolutely amazing. Each and every pasta dish had its own characteristic. I've never had pasta like this before. Now I know why people rave about Mario Batali's famous restaurant. The wine was also perfectly paired with each dish, complimenting the flavors of the pasta.

An 8 course pasta tasting menu at Babbo is a savory, delightful experience. An 8 course pasta tasting menu with wine pairing (8 glasses of wine) is a giddy, happy buzz experience.
I would love to go again for another pasta tasting menu. I'm looking forward to the next visit to Babbo.
