Making it Official

10.16.09 This Friday was like no other. Unlike our usual study dates, we decided to stop by Home Depot to pick up paint for my wall. I've been meaning to rearrange my room, but I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. After watching Sex and the City Movie, I finally got my inspiration from Carrie Bradshaw's ocean blue room. When I saw her new renovated room, I knew I had to use that color for my accent wall. Afterwards, we stopped by a charity event (mini-concert) in the lower east side. The mini concert was hosted by charity organization called Loving Day, which supports the fight against racial prejudice through education and multicultural community work. Both of us were impressed with the artists and the charity, but wasn’t pleased with our starving stomachs. After contemplating where to eat, we headed towards St. Marks for some yakitori at our favorite place, O Taisho. We both love dining out at this venue despite the long waits, poor service and unsanitary atmosphere. Hands down, it is one of the institution of St. Marks. All the Koreans, Japanese and yakitori- loving New Yorkers come to get their fix. Since we love sharing, we ordered tapas style. We shared...

Tsukune (Chicken Meat Ball), Kimo (Chicken Liver), Sunazuri (Chicken Gizzard), Gyutan (Beef Tongue), Yakisoba (pan-fried noodles with pork & veggies), Sake Chazuke (rice in hot broth with salmon)

Drinks: Copious amounts of sake ;P

And then he asked me out…officially.
