Hello Maine~

3.19-3.21

Maine is such an underrated state with so much to offer. Great lobster, beaches, and super friendly people. I've always heard that Maine has delicious seafood, but I didn't believe it, until this trip.

The mission of this trip was to relax and enjoy fresh seafood. And that's exactly what we did. The drive was a little far from NYC, but well worth it. We literally had seafood for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was absolutely amazing! So fresh and best of all, cheap!

 Fore Street
Duxbury, Mill Cove and Damariscotta River Oysters
Wood Oven Roasted Maine Mussels
 Atlantic Dorado Filet
Maine Scallops
Rapini, Roasted Garlic

J's Oyster Bar
 New England Clam Chowder
 Baker's Dozen Raw Oysters
Lobster Roll

Emilitsa
dolmathes avgolemono (grape leaves stuffed with jasmine rice, herbs and ground beef)
poikillia trio (greek yogurt, red caviar pureed, grilled eggplant)
paithakia galaktos tis skaras (grilled lamb)
lagos yemestos (pan seared young rabbit)

All in all, the trip was memorable and fattening. We were pleased with all the restaurant choices. Looking forward to going back, especially during summer when all the lobster shacks are open.
