The last time we went to Tribeca, we loved the restaurant (Locanda Verde). We heard mixed reviews about the place, but we still wanted to check it out. It did help that we had a BBE 30% coupon.

We both agreed to share the Kona Kampachi Tartare since that was a popular choice amongst the Yelpers. I settled on a meat dish and my bf favored a fish entree.

I know the restaurant has a Michelin Star, but I would not recommend this restaurant. The portion is large and the ingredients are unique, but the dishes are way too salty. I'm not talking about a little salt overload, but serious I can't stop drinking water saltiness. Unfortunately, the dish was too salty to appreciate the actual flavors of the ingredients.

Would I go back? Probably not. I don't think it's worth going back when I know I'm going to be hogging the water cup and calling the waiter every 5 minutes to fill it up.
